The Worm Turns for Bendigo Bank - Mathoura

Last modified: November 19, 2009 - 10:24 PM

The Mathoura Visitor and Business Centre’s role as a financial institution is enjoying a resurgence with increased activity in a range of service areas. Where the Bank agency was initially losing money, the worm has now turned and it is now making a profit. This is thanks largely to the fact that district residents have embraced their own Bendigo Bank agency and are not only enjoying the convenience of having a full range of financial services right on their own doorsteps, but having access to the best in the business. By opening accounts, or transferring existing Bendigo Bank accounts to the local agency, they are contributing to their community by helping make the Centre self-sufficient.

Murray Shire Council has also played its part by ‘banking with The Bendigo’. The Shire called tenders for its banking requirements and Bendigo Bank defeated three other major banks to win its business. Council believes The Bendigo has the ability to adequately cater for its banking needs.

As well as savings bank transactions, the agency offers home and business loans and investment opportunities. For details on the full range of services offered by the Bendigo Bank, contact staff on 03 5884 3730.

Council would like to thank the community for patronising this first class service.
